A beautifully elegant petty knife with a stunning damascus finish.

Made out of a secret stainless steel that Konosuke won't reveal this petty is a true performer. The damascus finish is etched right into the steel revealing beautiful colours such as red and copper, we've never seen anything like it! This petty is a good size but is also pretty light as well and is finished with a Khii ebony handle that really compliments the blade. Khii handles are a little longer than on our other knives which really adds to the quality feel and gives them an elegant elongated look.

The Oster Rob Petty Saya fits this knife.

What we thought about this knife

We have personally tested and reviewed this knife to give you an honest and personal opinion about it and this is how it rates. Remember these scores are a reflection of the company these knives keep, all our knives are great (or we wouldn't sell them) but we can't give them all 5/5. A low score doesn't mean it's a poor knife, it just might be out-trumped by one of our other amazing knives.

4 / 5Overall performance

Konosuke knives don't typically come screamingly sharp straight out of the box so a quick go on the stones or honing rod/strop before use will get them in tip top shape. Performance is great as with all Konosuke knives.

5 / 5Beauty

It's a full 5-5 for this knife, truly stunning in every way. The fit and finish is spot on and the incredible damascus cladding reveals different colours in the steel. The handle is a Khii Ebony octagonal which really sets the blade off nicely.

5 / 5Durability

This range is stainless steel so will keep looking and performing well without too much effort.

5 / 5Ease of care

Being a fully stainless knife these are really easy to care for knives. Obviously never put a knife in the dishwasher but as far as Japanese knives go they are a breeze.

5 / 5Comfort

The knife is on the light side for its size reducing fatigue if being used for a long time. The Khii handle feels very comfortable and the balance point is right at the pinch grip.

5 / 5Value for money

We believe that these knives are worth every penny, they truly are a work of art. Each knife is different and the workmanship and care taken is evident.

What you get with the knife

A stylish black box, on the inside a grey stepped inlay where your knife blade is enveloped in a simple black card pouch.

All our knives also come with free blue plasters just in case you're not ready for the sharpness! If you intend to use your knives regularly then we don't advise you to use the boxes for day to day storage, get a magnetic knife rack instead.
