Yu Kurosaki's Shizuku Range

An incredible high polish patterned finish unique to every knife makes this beautiful range stand out a mile.

*These knives are proving incredibly difficult to get hold of at the moment*

Yu Kurosaki is a blacksmith from Takefu, the youngest blacksmith to be granted the title of Master Nokaji by Takefu Knife Village Association and is the senior teacher there. He produces high end knives for Masakage but this range is under his own name.

Shizuku means "droplet" in Japanese and the knives feature Kurosaki san's trademark textured finish coupled with a high polish. These knives are not for those who like understated! They feature a stunning hammered damascus, stainless cladding with a powder steel core that is hardened between 61:62 Rockwell.

The pattern detail on the Shizuku santoku is out of this world - and unique on every knife

What you get

Beautiful dark grey fibre boxes with the name in gold foil on the lid. On the inside you will find a red stepped inlay and your beautiful knife of course, wrapped in Japanese newspaper by the craftsmen who made it. So while not working on your knife skills you can catch up on your Japanese language skills. Talk about the gift that keeps on giving...

All our knives also come with free blue plasters just in case you're not ready for the sharpness! If you intend to use your knives regularly (and you should be) then we don't advise you to use the boxes for day to day storage, get a magnetic knife rack instead.
