What makes this a second?

The knife arrived from the manufacturer with some resin spots on the blade which we believe were caused during handle fitting. These have been scrubbed off but it has meant the initial polish finish has been scuffed.

This scuffing and marking would eventually happen naturally with use in the kitchen and cleaning etc so apart from this, the knife is in brand new and unused condition and as a second is a great bargain for a keen cook looking for a beautiful nakiri.

The Nakiri is a veg knife that will make easy work of all the prep jobs you can throw at it!

Performance

Out of the box we felt that these could do with a go on the stones to get them screamingly sharp, and once we'd done that they performed exceptionally well.

Beauty

If you love simplistic beauty you will love these, attention to detail is incredible and the choil (or finger notch) has been rounded to a degree we've not seen before on any of our other knives. Everything is smooth and shiny and a joy to look at!

Comfort

As mentioned above, all the edges are smooth and curved where your fingers are likely to sit meaning a pinch grip is really comfortable with no sharp bits (except the bit that's supposed to be sharp)!

Durability

Powdered steel is a strong steel and providing you don't go near the usual suspects of bones and butternut squash you should be fine!

Ease of care

Powdered steel clad in stainless means that the care of these knives is minimal, just do the usual of wiping after use and never putting them in a dishwasher and that's it!

Value for money

The attention to detail and beautiful fit and finish makes these knives great value for money in our opinion. They'll be a beautiful addition to your knife collection.
