Jikko Knives R2 Nakiri

The Nakiri is a veg knife that will make easy work of all the prep jobs you can throw at it!

At a glance

We have personally tested and reviewed this knife to give you an honest and personal opinion about it and this is how it rates.

/ 5 Performance

Out of the box we felt that these could do with a go on the stones to get them screamingly sharp, and once we'd done that they performed exceptionally well.

/ 5 Beauty

If you love simplistic beauty you will love these, attention to detail is incredible and the choil (or finger notch) has been rounded to a degree we've not seen before on any of our other knives. Everything is smooth and shiny and a joy to look at!

/ 5 Comfort

As mentioned above, all the edges are smooth and curved where your fingers are likely to sit meaning a pinch grip is really comfortable with no sharp bits (except the bit that's supposed to be sharp)!

/ 5 Durability

Powdered steel is a strong steel and providing you don't go near the usual suspects of bones and butternut squash you should be fine!

/ 5 Ease of Care

Powdered steel clad in stainless means that the care of these knives is minimal, just do the usual of wiping after use and never putting them in a dishwasher and that's it!

/ 5 Value for money

The attention to detail and beautiful fit and finish makes these knives great value for money in our opinion. They'll be a beautiful addition to your knife collection.
