Miscellaneous One offs Shibata Tinker Tank

Well wow, this is a beast of a knife, tank is certainly an appropriate name!

A collaboration with Ikeda San and Shibata San these are small batches of different knives that are not going to be part of a set. Limited edition each knife is engraved with the date of forging and the batch number. In our case we have 4 and 14 out of a batch of 18. They are called Tinker in reference to the English expression 'tinkering' meaning to have a play about with something and it also refers to the rusticity. Completely hand-made this is a beautiful knife and the fit and finish is superb.

Please note this knife does not come in a box, it is wrapped in newspaper in true 'Tinker' fashion although it will be shipped in a box by us!

Super blue steel with an HRC of 63:64 and clad in stainless.

What is a Bunka knife?

A good general purpose knife that's a similar to a santoku or gyuto but with a more pronounced tip for intricate work.
