This year has been exceptionally challenging for many and the postal network both in the the UK and overseas has been stetched significantly more than in a more typical year by so many people having to remain at home and we anticipate the December Christmas period to experience unprecedented levels of demand this year.
All orders shipped with DPD Local
We are now shipping all orders placed between 13th December and 23rd December with DPD Local using a fully tracked service due to the extreme delays being experienced with Royal Mail post.
This includes all orders containing knives or accessories on their own with the exception of orders for a plastic blade guards or camellia oil which will still be posted Royal Mail.
During December we will be shipping every day with a final cut off of 11:00am on 23rd December so any order placed before then will be shipped.
All international orders placed before 13th December have been shipped with Royal Mail Tracked and Signed service. You will have received a tracking number but unfortunately we have had a large number of messages from customers still waiting for orders and reports of significant delays even back to orders placed in November.
We apologise for this and ask for your patience as there is nothing we are able to do to speed up the shipping process.
Any international orders placed after 13th December have been shipped with DPD and you should receive full tracking notifications and a faster delivery time but there are still delays.
The deadline for Christmas deliveries has passed for any new international shipments.
Some orders are still showing as "left UK" but have no ongoing tracking information with a local courier, please note this is normal and typically means your item is currently being cleared with your country customs before being passed to a courier for the final delivery in your country at which point the tracking will update.
Some country customs are currently taking weeks to clear items so we can only ask for your continued patience here.

Royal Mail delays
We're sorry to say that like many businesses, we've been massively let down by Royal Mail's service and quoted timescales and some customers (particularly international orders) are still waiting for items ordered as early as the beginning of November.
We've done everything possible to ship quickly and early but unfortunately even with that effort, the scale of delay with Royal Mail is such that some items are still going to be significantly delayed which is why we've taken the step to ship smaller items and international at our additional expense with DPD instead as the service is more reliable.
The only thing we will still post with Royal Mail until after Christmas is an order that is less than £15.
Christmas and New Year opening times
We are an online only shop so you are welcome to browse and place your order any time over the Christmas and New Year period.
Any orders placed after the cut off for Christmas delivery will be processed and shipped on the 30th December. After this, the next shipping date will be Monday 4th January for all orders.
Customer service messages and enquiries
Any messages sent on Instagram, Facebook or by email will be replied to up to 23rd of December and on 30th December then again when we're back online on 4th January.
We hope you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year given the challenges of 2020 and we will do everything in our power to process and ship your orders but again - please do order as early as possible!
