An impressively thin profile gyuto from Terukazu Takamura. It's a delight to cut with and the subtle black pakka wood Western handle combines to make a light and nimble knife that's going to make short work of a lot of food prep!

First Impressions

You only need to look at the profile of the knife to see it's exceptionally sharp right out of the box and just a few cuts will have you looking for more food to prep!

Beauty

The tsuchime finish is qiute subtle but still eye catching and tapers off into a well polished edge and is paired with a classy full tang black pakka wood handle.

In Hand

The Western handle shape is just right, light and nimble in hand it's very comfortable and the fit and finish around the integrated bolster are of a high standard.

Durability

Takamura knives are highly regarded for their edge retention and the laser grind and the VG10 version of this knife will provide a good balance between care and durability.

Ease of Care

VG10 is easy to sharpen, stainless and easy to look after so follow our normal care instructions and this is a knife that's ready to go.

Our Verdict

This is a knife you need to add to your basket right now.

Takamura knives are fantastically made, finished beautufilly and offer an impressively thin profile and level of sharpness out of the box that you'd expect to pay a lot more for so when it comes to value, there are few better.
