I genuinely didn't know you could make a knife this beautiful. It's an absolute work of art and incredibly sharp.
I've been taking this thing in and out the box all day just to admire it, I still can't get myself to use it as it's bloody beautiful.

Understated but good looking. Very sharp as would be expected. Handle is comfortable when used correctly, not as comfortable if used Western style?
The heel of the blade is sharp, not rounded or oriented forward - cut thumb and forefinger a few times just in normal handling.
A beautiful roll that pairs wonderfully with their knife guards to make the perfect home for my knives, the owners James and Ally are also wonderful, their customer service is attentive and speedy. will definitely be shopping here again.
Looks gorgeous. I'm particularly enjoying the forward balance, it's a little heftier than I was expecting but that does make veg prep much easier.

Im not touching it until it needs a gentle strop on fine stone , the edge it comes with is more tjan adequate , in fact better than some of my knives that cost FAR more ! It is superb

This is my first actual carbon steel japanese knife, and I am very happy with it.
Obvioualy sharp, and wonderful to handle and cut with, as well as enjoying it's rough aestetics.
I think the bottom line on this roll is to not hesitate and just get it. It's a great value roll using quite a resistant canvas. I keep all my knives in this at home but have also carried it in a backpack travelleling to a sharpening class without issue. Great piece of kit

Understood that I was purchasing a very sharp and precision knife but was not very comfortable with the lack of safety on the heel of the knife as the blade extended to the very end making it easy to inadvertently catch your hand on the edge. All my existing knives are blunted at the heel. Would not repeat my purchase
Easy to use website, very reliable company, great products, excellent service. The need for courier to see proof age can cause a few missed deliveries though the delivery company does try to notify you when delivery is on the way.
