Manaka Hamono KAGEROU Gyuto 260mm
Truly a work of art from Kisuke Manaka, this is one of his highest level offerings in his famous KAGEROU series.
The knife has been made with a damascus 3-layer construction combining polished soft blue iron and blue #2 steels to make the cladding which protects the blue #1 core steel all of which creates a visual spectacle of incredible depth and detail.
The knife is completely hand forged and sharpened by Manaka-san and has been fitted with an equally beautiful ebony handle with brass bolster which offsets the fairly significant weight of the large blade and puts the balance point just forward of the heel. It is sold with a wooden saya included.
The knife shown in the photographs and measurements are the one that is available to purchase.
🗝 This is an archive item. It's either so unique it's never coming back into stock, extremely difficult to source or discontinued.
