Perfect for a range of jobs but unlike thicker and softer steel cleavers, this is essentially a chuka bocho designed for primarily for veg prep with a harder, durable 62HRC carbon steel core.
Despite the cleaver name, we don't recommend hacking through bone with this knife and that you consider the use of it more like you would with a gyuto, santoku or nakiri.
Sentan is a H&K brand (the owners of Hatsukokoro) and the Sentan brand knives are designed and made by their partners in China.
⚠️ CARE NOTE: It is recommended to thoroughly wash the blade with soap and warm water before the first use and that this knife has a reactive carbon steel core and cladding steel.
