The "bannou" knife is a small single piece craft and utility knife from the Nagao Kanakoma factory - the the only makers of authentic Higonokami knives and is a san mai construction of a white #2 steel core clad in soft iron for maximum sharpness and durability.

They're finished with a lovely range of different colour traditionally corded handles and blade covers made in a wide range of patterns and colours. 

Please note: Each knife is a unique pairing of handle cord and cover so it is not possible to select a specific one and orders for this knife are randomly selected.

Cute little blades

Not a bad little utility blade, I like idea of them! A nice little gift for a friend.

Just a shame they're all random, I received 2 similar knives, I would have preferred any other blade from the product image haha

Beautiful little knife

These Higonokami knives are beautiful. Lovely and sharp, rigid and fully functional. Although I’m not sure if I want to use mine at all, rather than just keep it in my knife roll and show it off now and then. It’s too pretty to use.

Very nice little pocket knive. Wouldn’t wear it in my pocket nevertheless. The sheat seems to be more for cuteness reasons than for safety.
Top gift I’d say but don’t forget to take a coin for that and be safe to not cut a friendship with a tiny shirogami blade ;)
