A beautiful and well balanced bunka with an intricate and unique damascus finish running the length of the blade tapering down to a stylish final layer of dark grey matte on the impressively sharp cutting edge.

The bunka is a great shape and offers versatility across a wide range of meat, fish and vegetable prep jobs and at 200mm, it's a perfect all rounder.

First Impressions

The quality finish and impressive edge right out of the box perform well and immediately you'll know it'll be a knife you'll reach for time and again.


We love a well finished damascus blade and the matte damascus pattern running down to the darker grey edge and vg10 core steel are great. 

Paired with a brown and black pakka wood handle with white spacer there's no doubt this is a great looking range from Suncraft if you want something with a bit of wow.

In Hand

Light and well balanced, the finishing around the heel/finger groove is smooth and rounded off nicely so it's very comfortable in hand.


VG10 is widely used in Japanese knives because it's easy to care for, durable and maintains an edge well and so you can expect the black damascus knives to perform and last well.

Ease of Care

Easy to look after, the stainless core and cladding mean just folow the normal care instructions and your knife will last you as long as you need it.
