First Impressions

Ultimately, it's a cleaver. It's got a good edge and plenty of weight and so there's not a vast amount of finesse compared to our other knives but the cutting power is there for sure.

In Hand

We will note that like many cleavers, the handle fit isn't always the highest standard and so doesn't always fit snugly or smoothly against the blade tang. It doesn't impact on performance but should definitely be noted before you buy it.

Ease of Care

This is a carbon steel knife so you will need to care for it following our carbon steel care guide.

Our aim is to measure and photograph our products as accurately as possible but due to many items being handmade, finished or using natural materials, there can be minor variance in measurements and things such as blade or wood finishes can vary. We will always endeavour to provide the most accurate measurements, photos and descriptions of our products.

Some measurements such as HRC are provided by manufacturers and should therefore be used as a guide.
