A great value stainless clad VG10 core Chinese cleaver from Hatsukokoro.
Perfect for a range of jobs but unlike thicker and softer steel cleavers, this is one is more akin to a large and very tall general use knife as it's much thinner and harder at treated to around 60HRC.
In hand, it's nimble and comfortable although with the full tang blade, you may find some rougher edges where the tang and handle aren't completely smoothed and in these cases you may wish to just smooth it down a little with some high grit sandpaper.
Despite the cleaver name and appearance, we don't recommend hacking through bone with this knife and that you consider the use of it more like you would with a gyuto, santoku or nakiri.
This knife has been made in partnership between Hatsukokoro and one of Japan's major knife making brands although due to their commercial agreements we're not able to publish the name.

Some measurements such as HRC are provided by manufacturers and should therefore be used as a guide.
We process and dispatch all orders on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays and do not ship on Tuesday or Thursday.
Orders placed on Tuesday and Thursday will be processed and shipped the following day and orders after 11:00am on Friday will ship the following Monday. The delivery service does not include evening or weekend delivery.
