About this range

First Impressions

We were initially drawn in by the great looks of that tsuchime finish and eye catching handle but past that, you'll also find a solid performer that's thin behind the edge and ready to go out of the box although if it were us we'd perhaps give it a quick pass on a finishing stone and strop to get that edge screaming sharp.

In Hand

The octagonal walnut and green pakka wood handle is comfortable and it's always nice when a blacksmith takes a little extra time to round the spine and choil of a knife as it adds just that little feeling of attention as well as feeling comfort in hand.

Durability

The core super blue steel has been treated to around 63-64HRC and so offers excellent edge retention and durability.

Ease of Care

We recommend following our carbon steel care tips and for long term care, a carbon steel care kit is a great option.

The super blue core clad with stainless steel is easy to look after and sharpening is relatively easy so just rinse and dry after use for the best results.
