Our in-depth range review

First Impressions

Clean lines, well finished and with a consistent grind, the Silver 3 Tsuchime is a strong option in a very competitive price bracket.

Durability

Heat treated to ~61HRC, the Ginsan tsuchime range offers a good overall level of edge retention and durability while being robust enough to take on a range of jobs.

Ease of Care & Maintenance Tips

Ginsan/Silver 3 is a stainless steel and the cladding on the knife is stainless so it's easy to care for and maintain if you follow our normal care guide and we'd recommend a Japanese knife care kit for long term care.

Our Verdict

Well made and with a stylish tsuchime and polished finish, the knives in the range are good value for money in a competitive price bracket and ideal for both first time Japanese purchases or a cost effective addition to an existing collection.
