Based in Fukuyama City, West Japan Tools is the homeware design house of the world renowned master sharpener Takayuki Shibata. Born from a desire to create the perfect versions of everyday essentials, the company serves as a creative bridge between traditional Japanese craftsmanship and modern domestic life.

Shibata's design philosophy is driven by the motto "Art over Beauty". Much like his muse, the cheetah, Shibata believes that true elegance is a byproduct of absolute functional efficiency. While West Japan Tools focuses on life beyond the cutting board, it is rooted in the same DNA as Shibata's other prestigious brands:
