The Kotetsu range of exclusive lightweight chef knives, made from R2 powdered steel, blacksmithed by Ikeda san and hand sharpened individually by Shibata san. True works of art.

Shibata-San is one of the top knife sharpeners in Japan and his knife making skill extends to his own beautiful Koutetsu range. Made by Takumi Ikeda, the high quality blade and handle perform well and combined look the part without breaking the bank. If you're looking for performance at an incredible price then the Koutetsu is for you.

The name "Iron clad" doesn't refer to the metals used in the making of the knives but instead refers to the shape of the knives which is inspired by Japan's first iron clad battleships (Kōtetsu).
